15/05/2009 : I would like to now how much I should sell my Montgomery Wards Model #1984, *(all original accessories included, it has been used 7 times)* electric, free arm, 22 stitch, forward and reverse etc. sewing machine for? My Grandpa bought this machine for my Grandma, and her arthritis was so bad she still couldn't even use it for a hobby. I have used it 5 out of the 7 times, for making curtains, and pillows. It REALLY is in excellent condition, EVERYTHING WORKS! It has been stored in my husbands home office for the past 7 years. I also have a rolling drop leaf cabinet (no airlift -pressed wood w/veneer "oak" finish), hinged table top (I assume for cutting, maybe quilting),4 side drawers, hinged cabinet door opens to plug in pedal thru the back of the cabinet , also it comes with a rolling square stool(which has 2 more drawers for storage). 10/05/2009 : I have an elderly Benz overlocker 81T-4. I've only used it once a very long time ago. I want to get it serviced, but he doesn't really want to take it without a manual, as without it, his learning curve time will cost me dearly. Does anyone use a Benz machine, and if so, would you be willing to send me a copy or digi photo of your manual where it shows how to thread it up again? Or give me a clue where to look for a copy. I've tried freecycle and a Benz suppliers in Canada so far, so I thought I would ask here too.

04/01/2009 : Hi - I am helping a woman in the Los Angeles, CA area to identify the different ways she may sell much of her 40+ years of sewing materials/supplies. While I am a bit out of my element as I know little about the discipline, from the brief walk-through of her studio, she seems to have all kinds of fabrics, lace, trim, threads, patterns, accessories, equipment, etc - catalogued and well cared for/stored... what seems like could be a treasure trove actually for those engaged in sewing and related arts and crafts. I was thinking she could sell her collection to a sewing circle/organization/community, on consignment perhaps or maybe some vocational program, at an auction, to a commercial vendor who offers classes, at a local expo/fair, etc... Unfortuantely, I am not having much success exploring the Internet for any of these types of solutions. In looking at sewinglinks.com, it seems there is a wealth of resources, and I thought you may be able tohelp me...
